I story"I" Stories 2008
For the third year, CMFD Productions recorded and produced spoken narrations by survivors of gender violence as part of Gender Links "I" Stories project, conducted annually as part if 16 Days to ensure that survivors of violence have the opportunity to have their voices heard. The audio recording complement a print publication and distribution of these stories to media as part of 16 Days coverage. These audio recording are being made available to radio stations, and also included on the Taxi C

"I" Story 2007

As part of the I Stories, some of the women at a Johannesburg workshop recorded parts of their stories for use by radio, telling about their experiences, and offering advice to others experiencing violence. Recorded and produced CMFD (Community Media for development) Productions, the women told their own stories, and also recorded the excuses their abusers gave for violence, reasons why they stayed, and the response from the legal system, which were produced into spots for airplay during 16 Days.

"I" Story 2006

I StoryGender Audio - CMFD recorded Gender Links "I Stories" from survivors of gender violence for 16 Days of Activism 2006. CMFD was also on hand at GL's second Gender and Media Summit to record interviews with participants.
